For me the “boxes” we create for ourselves is the opportunity to see ourselves more deeply, and to change and create something different and expand.
I don’t mind feeling sad or angry or fearful, and I feel them with great curiosity. From Byron Katy’s work, the big question I ask is, this should happen to me, and so what do I need to learn in this lifetime from it? What I learn, is also an opportunity to share with others.
From a very strict and violent upbringing, I’ve pushed for unique and independent expression, and I still find myself thinking the world should be a certain way and at the same time understand why it isn’t. Thank you for this thought provoking question and the opportunity to share my thoughts here. 😊
